Re-Circulating Water Chillers

A water chiller is recommended to be used wish all S-EVAP evaporators. It provides a reliable supply of chilled water delivered at constant pressure. Controlling both temperature and pressure allows the S-EVAP to be operated al maximum efficiency resulting in the lowest possible solvent loss. Solvent recoveries of 97% can be achieved when condensers arc operated at less than 10° C.

Two sizes of water chillers are stocked. A mid size unit will service 1 or 2 Organomation extractors or evaporators (maximum 16 condensers). A larger, 240 volt unit will service up to 3 instruments (maximum 32 condensers). They feature the latest developments in chiller design including CFC free refrigerant, digital temperature readout, high pressure water pump and low water protection.

Chiller connection kits are also available. They consist of high pressure reinforced tubing and all connectors necessary to attach 1, 2 or 3 instruments. All parts are solvent resistant and capable of withstanding pressure up to 60 psig. Pressure reducing regulator for water supply

The water supply pressure for S-EVAP and ROT-X-TRACT instruments must be between 20 and 40 psig. If the supply is greater than 40 psig, damage to tubing, connectors, manifolds or glassware may result. This regulator can handle inlet pressure up to 120 psig and has a variable output 0 to 60 psig. The output pressure is indicated on a gauge.

It is also used when two or more instruments with different pressure requirements arc connected to a re-circulating water chiller. The chiller is adjusted to the highest pressure requirement and this regulator, installed downstream is set to the lower pressure. Connectors are 1/8 inch MNPT on the inlet and 1/4 inch hose barb on the outlet. Other fittings can be supplied upon request.

Kudena-Danish Flask Rack

Rectangular, stainless steel, 8 position for 250 ml or 500 ml KD flasks. Conveniently stores samples before or after processing in the S-EVAP. Will hold flasks with or without concentrator tubes and Snyder columns installed. The portable rack is also good for drying flasks after washing.

Rectangular, stainless steel, 16 position for 10 ml or 15 ml connector tubes.

Clamp Assembly

Clamp holder and 8 clamps mounts on S-EVAP center tube, holds glassware securely.

Boiling Grids

Teflon shapes are used with insulated concemtrator tubes to prevent bumping. 100 per package.

Adapter Rings

Plastic adapters fit in the holders of the S-EVAP bath cover disk and allow the next smaller sized flask to be used, Suitable for round flasks, Kuderna-Danish flasks and jar flasks.
