Application Notes:
The evaporative glassware shown on this page are for applications where a Snyder Column is not necessary. Use flat bottom flask for evaporations to dryness and KD for 1 ML endpoint. Due to hot saturated vapor presence in the glassware, final evaporation to desired endpoint will be required after glassware is removed from the heated bath. An Organomation N-EVAP nitrogen evaporator is ideal for this. For dryness applications, the flask may separated from the condenser and dried on the bath.
This glassware may be used with Methylene Chloride, Freon, Acetone, Hexan, and similar solvents. This glassware may be used with oil & grease procedures, EPA method 1664, and other procedures where evaporation to a given endpoint and solvent recovery is desired.
The extended Hopkins Tube condenser is 50mm (2 inches) longer than the regular extended Hopkins condenser in order to accommodate the Central Solvent Collection Vessel. |
