The Liquid / Liquid extractors shown on this page are for Methylene Chloride (Dichloromethane) and Water extractions. The Hershberg Wolfe extractor is a high accuracy extractor and is primarily designed for use with samples that do not have suspended or solid material present. The OAI design and simple extractors are for general use. The OAI design unit is modular and may be disassembled for simpler cleaning and reduced breakage. The simple extractor is a one piece design. The micro extractor will process 100 ML samples and is used for micro chemistry and radioactive applications. An evaporative version is also available. All the extractors shown above may be used with Kuderna-Danish or flat bottom flasks. The use of cold finger or Friedrich's based condensers greatly reduce condensation on the condenser walls. These condensers have a higher efficiency design, resulting in less solvent loss. The cold finger condenser can reduce the overall height by as much as 8 inches (200mm). Organomation has instruments to support multiple positions of all the extractors in a circular space saving design.
