The Series S-EVAP-RB™ and S-EVAP-KD™ are compact bench-top size instruments for concentrating large volumes of solvent in round flasks or Kuderna-Danish flasks. They find use in environmental and other analysis where it is necessary to concentrate extracted materials from liquid or solid samples. This is accomplished by boiling the solvent in a healed water bath. Waste solvent is collected for further purification and reuse or for disposal. The process is fast and solvent loss is minimal.
Features:
6 models will handle 5 to 8 samples at one tine.
Flask sizes from 125 ml to 1000 ml.
Thermostatically controlled water bath provides heat.
Shallow bath for round flasks or deep hath for the Kuderna-Danish flasks.
Solvent-recovery hardware is standard on all units.
Complete systems are bench-top size and can be operated in an exhaust hood or a properly ventilated laboratory.

The bath temperature is set 30° to 50° C above the solvent boiling point. This overcomes the insulating effect of the glassware and heal losses above the bath and at the condenser. Condensers are cooled to 10° C with individual collection flasks installed. The ratio of recovered solvent to starting solvent averages 97% .
