Dry Block Multivaps

Organomation’s Multi-vaps are extremely versatile instruments and come in five different models. The 9, 30 and 48 position Multi-vaps are high temperature, dry bath models, while the 64 and 100 positions models utilize our classic water bath to maximize evaporation. These instruments are comprised of a rectangular gas distribution system mounted on a frame and stand assembly. Needles or glass pipets blow gas onto the sample’s surface resulting in rapid solvent evaporation. Nitrogen is delivered to the samples via individual stainless steel needles connected through a gas flow distribution manifold. The manifold is part of our dual band spring hoist assembly which permits effortless raising or lowering of the apparatus. Nitrogen gas flow is controlled by an adjustable flow meter. For the 64 and 100 position models, samples are loaded into a stainless steel sample holder rack which sits submerged within a hot water bath. Baths are thermostatically controlled and will accurately maintain water temperature from 30°C to 70°C. The 9, 30 and 48 position multi-vaps use heated aluminum dry blocks to reach evaporative temperatures ranging from 30°C to 130°C. All models are equipped with high temperature limit switches to promote safety. These baths are engineered to UL specification for laboratory use and are constructed using laboratory quality materials. All models can withstand contact with organic solvents. Acid resistant models are also available for corrosive solutions.
